A big thank you to all of our families who signed up for Meet the Teacher! It was wonderful meeting with you, getting to know your families, and beginning to build relationships for the school year ahead.

A strong home-school partnership is essential to student success. When families and teachers work together, communicate openly, and support one another, our students feel confident, connected, and empowered to learn and grow. We are grateful for your partnership and look forward to working together to make this a wonderful year for every child! Thank you for being an important part of our Gates Mills Elementary family! We are so excited to see all of our Gates Mills Foxes back in action next week!

We kindly ask that you tell us how your child(ren) will be getting to and from school. Please complete the following Transportation Form survey to help ensure a smooth arrival and dismissal for our students.

As we implement the changes to our AM transportation schedule, please note the following approximate run times:

The Edulog Parent Portal can also be downloaded through the Transportation page on the district website.

We ask that families please check Infinite Campus and/or the Edulog Parent Portal before calling the Transportation Department with questions regarding bus numbers, stop locations, or scheduled times.

The Mayfield City School District offers before and after school care for students. Unfortunately, Gates Mills Elementary is not a program location. However, students who require aftercare services may be transported by bus to Center Elementary School at the conclusion of the school day.

We’d love your help volunteering at some of our school-wide events! Dates and descriptions are below. Please complete the following form to volunteer at school events: PTC Event Volunteer Form

Donuts at Dawn, 6:45am Friday, September 11, 2026 - Help with setup, handing out and cleaning up donuts, fruit, coffee, etc. for our awesome dads, grandpas, uncles, or other father-figures.  

Gates Mills 5k Fox Trot, 8-10:30 am, Saturday September 12, 2026 - Our annual 5k! Help with race setup, water tables, facilitating the kids 50 yard dash & fun run, and awards

Fall Fest, 4:30-7:30pm October 16, 2026 - Help with planning, set-up, crafts, and fun games!

Walk-a-thon, October 12th-16th, 2026 (during school hours) - Our biggest fundraiser! Each grade walks as many laps as they can. Help us get out the word to the community, cheer on your child’s grade, and count laps on the day they’re assigned to walk. Volunteer times will vary throughout the week and are sent closer to the event. We will contact all who volunteer to see when they can help. 

Election Day Bake Sale, Tuesday, November 3, 2026 - Bake your favorite treats for the PTC to sell at the Community House on Election Day, or volunteer to help set up the night before or sell at the table day-of.

Movie Night in the Village, Friday, December 4, 2026 - Help with setup & concessions at the Gates Mills Community House while we have a family-friendly movie night.

Valentine’s Day Breakfast, 6:45 am, Thursday, February 11, 2027 - Show our kids some love by helping make pancake breakfast for them at the school.

Movie Night in the Village, TBD in February - Help with setup & concessions at the Gates Mills Community House while we have a family-friendly movie night.

Spring Fest, 4:30 pm, Friday, April 16, 2027 - Help with planning, set-up, and fun games!

Muffins in the Morning, 6:45 am, Friday, May 7, 2027 - Help with setup, handing out food, and cleaning up muffins, fruit, coffee, etc. for our wonderful moms, grandmas, aunts, or other female role models.

Last Day Picnic, 10:30 am, Thursday, June 3, 2026 - Help with setup, handing out food, and cleaning up at our end of year picnic.
